He’s been in ministry for 33 years. Starting in the Neosho MO area doing worship and youth ministry and currently volunteering with River Bluff Fellowship’s youth ministry and SoulQuench.

Casey

Casey Malley grew up in Waynesville and graduated from SBU with a Bachelors in Youth Ministry and Midwestern Seminary with a Masters degree.

After graduating he accepted a ministry position in California, MO where he met his wife Austen. They have been married since 2014 and have 4 kids.  Casey is a huge fan of the University of Kentucky and the Denver Broncos.

Casey  has been a part of SoulQuench teaching team since 2019 and joined the leadership team leading Standing Bear in 2024. Casey is passionate about teaching youth and college students to know “what they believe and why they believe it”.

Tyler Mendoza and his wife, Alicia, have served at Springhill Baptist for 5 years. The two of them met and fell madly in love while majoring in biblical studies at College of the Ozarks. They have two children and love getting to serve the youth of the church as a family.

Tyler’s interests include board games, video games, running, hiking, and farming. Tyler claims to be uniquely athletic at youth games – but only youth games.

Tyler’s favorite book of the Bible is the gospel of John. He enjoys studying the person Jesus is and the accounts of those who walked closely with Him.

Ericka

Ericka Baxter has been involved with SoulQuench for more than 14 years, serving 12 of those years as a director. She is actively involved in ministry at Spokane First Baptist Church, serving in the worship team by playing piano and singing.

She is also a PK, but don’t hold that against her. Ericka and her husband, Ryan, have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of five children.

Her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20–21, a powerful reminder that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine and that He deserves glory through every generation.

Joel Johnson has been in ministry for over 20 years. He has been a part of SoulQuench for many years attending Camp and the Omaha Mission Trip and the last few years he has been a part of the leadership team for Standing Bear Apologetics Conference.

He is currently the Student and Discipleship Pastor at FBC Springfield. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Christian Ministry and completed his Masters in Discipleship from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Joel and his wife, Laura, have been married for almost 20 years and have 4 kids: Kinsley, Micah, Isaiah & Noah.
He enjoys spending time with his family, being out in God’s creation and watching sports! Go Chiefs, Royals, Cardinals, K-State Wildcats, & Mo State Bears!

Joel’s life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths”.
